Hastkala Setu Yojana

The state project involves a direct or indirect sustainable development of all the activities related to the project alleviation of those. This is the first innovative project to transform rural entrepreneurship ecosystem which will help in reaching out to youths and artisans in the villages to get outcome based results. To achieve the results, each district will have Gujarat Cottage Industries Development Centre (GCIDC) to fulfil various need-based support required for the project.

The project has commenced in 2020 and has been planned to be conducted in phases. The second phase started from May 2021. The project plans to cover 33 districts in a span of 3 years. 

The project has commenced with 6 districts and in phase 2 it included 7 more district, in time to come the project will expand to cover 33 districts in a span of 3 years.

Phase 1:   Location- Kutch, Surendranagar, Banaskantha, Rajkot, Jamnagar and Ahmedabad. 

Phase 2:   Location- Patan, Mehsana, Junagadh, Baroda, Dahod, Narmada and Valsad.

Objectives

  • Create new entrepreneurs at each district
  • Enhance potential of existing entrepreneurs
  • Create additional jobs and livelihood options through new enterprises created
  • Conduct District-wise Demand Study (covering clusters) to enable in-depth study of demand and growth potential in the district with respect to existing and futuristic sectors, etc.
  • Set up district-wise Gujarat Cottage Industries Development Centres (GCIDCs) to enable Incubation & Innovation and to develop, strengthen and sustain the entire rural entrepreneurship value-chain

Centre for Empowerment of Differently Abled (CEDA)

State and Societies have continually sought to institute plans and methods to evolve an inclusive approach to growth so that the struggles of the disadvantaged and the deprived could be reduced, and they could be integrated in the mainstream social structure. Several amiable policies and approaches have been put in place to ensure their wellbeing, including that of the differently abled whose daily struggles for living and livelihood are overwhelming.

Start-Up Village Entrepreneurship Programme

EDII has been roped in as a National Resource Organisation (NRO) for implementing the largest PAN-India rural poverty eradication programme, the Start-up Village Entrepreneurship Programme (SVEP). SVEP is the sub-scheme under Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana – National Rural Livelihoods Mission (DAY-NRLM) with the objective of helping Self Help Groups (SHGs) and their family members to set-up small enterprises in the non-farm sector.

Srinagar-Mega-Carpet-Cluster

Srinagar Mega Carpet Cluster

EDII functions as Cluster Management and Technical Agency (CMTA) for Srinagar Mega Carpet Cluster Project under Comprehensive Handicraft Cluster Development Project of Ministry of Textiles, Government of India. The objective of the project is to facilitate development of mega carpet cluster, with necessary infrastructure support and modern production facilities to enable the industry to meet various legal and trade commitments.

Bihar Skill Development

Inspiring Entrepreneurship in Bihar

To enhance communication skills, IT literacy skills and soft skills among Bihar’s Youth, EDII in collaboration with Bihar Skill Development Mission (BSDM) initiated Bihar Skill Development Programme under ‘Kushal Yuva Program’. The project aims at enhancing the employability Skills of all aspirants in the age group of 15-28 years, who have passed at least 10th class or 12th class, have dropped out of formal education and are looking for jobs.
