EDII is functioning as Technical Support Agency (TSA) and implementing the National Rural Livelihood Mission (NRLM) sponsored cluster development project in Limkheda – Jhalod, Dist. Dahod, Gujarat in association with Gujarat Livelihood Promotion Company Limited (GLPC).

 

A Producers Company (PC) has been promoted in this cluster. Suitable candidate is required for the position of Marketing Manager for marketing and sales of the product produced in this Producers Company. The Marketing Manager is expected to efficiently establish a new and different marketing channel, get orders for B2B and B2C and sale the products produced in the PC. The selected candidates shall be employee of the Dahod Pottery Producer Company Limited.

Qualification: Graduate in any discipline

  • Graduation / Post-Graduation in Rural Management/ Social Work/ Economics/ MBA
  • Must have minimum 5 years of experience in the rural sector or marketing of products made by rural producers/artisans.

 

Experience & Profile: Preferably resident of the cluster or having experience in marketing of cluster products. Should have good rapport/influence in his/her own cluster and linkages with entrepreneurs dealing in cluster products, raw material suppliers etc. Must possess technical knowledge of the cluster product and production related activities. Hands-on experience/ knowledge of skill practised in the cluster are a Plus. S/he must be conversant in the local language. S/He she should possess and perform the following:

  • Collaborate with others in the team (e.g. Branding, Market linkage, and sales) to develop and monitor strategic marketing initiatives
  • Conduct market research and analyse trends to identify new marketing opportunities and accordingly plan brand building and marketing plans/ interventions.
  • Develop and create marketing materials, such as broachers, product catalogue, social Media posts etc.
  • Analyse and report on the performance and efficiency of campaigns/marketing efforts
  • Work with external agencies and vendors to execute marketing programs
  • Overall Business Development for Identified Products
  • Relationship Building with different stakeholders

  

Type of Employment:

  • Develop Trained and Certified CRP-EPs:

Oversee the training and certification of Community Resource Persons-Enterprise Promotion (CRP-EPs) in the designated blocks.

Organize and oversee training programs for entrepreneurs.

  • Provide Business Support Services:

Identify potential business ideas and assist in the preparation of business plans.

Facilitate access to loans from banks and other financial institutions.

Support the maintenance of accounts and marketing activities for new enterprises.

Provide support post-establishment of enterprises.

Monitor and guide the development of 200 enterprises per block.

  • Training and Exposure Visits:

Facilitate exposure visits for Community Level Federation (CLF) committee members and Community Based Organizations (CBO) members.

  • Coordination and Communication:

 Act as a liaison between the Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII) and the Tripura Rural Livelihood Mission (TRLM) both in SPMU and DMMU/BMMU levels.

Project Background: The Start-up Village Entrepreneurship Programme (SVEP) is being implemented as a sub-scheme under National Rural Livelihood Mission (NRLM), Ministry of Rural Development (MoRD) to promote start-up enterprise in rural areas.  Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII) is functioning as National Resource Organization (NRO) for the Programme.  Under the aegis of Ministry of Rural Development, the Institute is implementing this program across 15 states in association with various State Rural Livelihood Missions (SRLM). An SVEP secretariat has also been set up at EDII campus to monitor the ongoing activities of SVEP blocks.

 

Qualification & Experience:

  • Relevant University qualification in a Management discipline (Business Administration/Rural Development or equivalent) with at least two (02) years of professional working experience.
  • Graduate in any stream with at least five (05 years) of professional working experience in the area of microenterprise promotion/working with communities.
  • The candidate must have experience in micro enterprise promotion or working with community Institutions. Experience of promoting collectives/producers companies is an added advantage.

Job Description: 

Implement the Start-up Village Entrepreneurship Program in the assigned block, key responsibilities include:

  • Assist PIA and SRLM during selection and training of Community Resources Persons – Enterprise Promotion (CRP-EPs)
  • Guide and support CRP-EP during the training programme, on-field activities and enterprise promotion.
