    • Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the incubation centre
    • Attract funding through different means like grants, etc.
    • Administer the earnings and expenses related to the operations and expansion of the centre under the directions of Governing Body.
    • Complywith all regulatory requirements and make strategic decisions
    • Work closely with the students and faculty at EDII to help them steer technologies towards commercialization, by mentoring them and helping them to set up start-up ventures.

Qualification & Experience:

  • Must have 1-2 years of experience in Micro enterprise/ Entrepreneurship Development/ Self Employment/ Livelihood/ Women's related schemes and projects. 
  • Candidate should have working proficiency in atleast any two of Kannada, Tamil and Telugu languages
  • The candidate should possess good documentation and reporting skills, high degree of computer literacy, data analysis ability and good communication ability.

Job Description:

  • Design, plan and upgrade entrepreneurship and enterprise development training materials (Telugu, Tamil and Kannada) including, but not limited to, Training curriculum, Training Manual and training handouts
  • Manage the process of developing syllabi and training materials for each curriculum assigned, including such materials as lesson plans, supporting materials like training presentations, training notes, and project handouts as per selected Trades/Sectors for skill training.
  • Work with the team to map value chain including main actors, flow of products, infrastructure facilities, financial institutions and all supporting organizations.
  • Knowing the right business strategies and technological solutions
  • Establish a methodology/framework for measuring the effectiveness of the training, including methods for skills assessment and any recommendations to improve the programme outcome.

General Working Profile:

  • Coordinate with Project Coordinator, Master Trainer and Community Mobilizers for implementation of the project
  • Be responsible for the technical inputs for the beneficiaries through trainings, workshops, seminars and visits
  • Assisting in enterprise development, business development, market linkages and credit linkages.
  • Post programme follow up and hand holding of entrepreneurs through trainings and mentoring
  • Prepare detail work plans and progress reports
  • Identify and ensuring entrepreneurs participation in relevant Fairs and exhibition
  • Participate in all meetings held for review of the progress by EDII H.O/SRO
  • Any other work/activity as assigned by the Office.

Location: Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Uttar Pradesh and Chhattisgarh

Project Background: The Start-up Village Entrepreneurship Programme (SVEP) is being implemented as a sub-scheme under National Rural Livelihood Mission (NRLM), Ministry of Rural Development (MoRD) to promote start-up enterprise in rural areas.  Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII) has been selected as National Resource Organization (NRO) for the Programme.  Under the aegis of Ministry of Rural Development, the Institute is implementing this programme across 14 states in association with various State Rural Livelihood Mission (SRLM).

  1. Qualification & Experience:
    • Relevant University qualification in a Management discipline (Business Administration/Rural Development or equivalent) with at least two (02) years of professional working experience.  
    • Graduate in any stream with at least five (05 years) of professional working experience in the area of microenterprise promotion/working with communities.
    • Recent pass outs from premier Institutes (IRMA, TISS, EDII, NIRD, XIMB etc with Post Graduate qualifications may also be considered for the position as Young Professionals
    • The candidate must have experience in micro enterprise promotion or working with community institutions. Experience of promoting collectives/producer companies is an added advantage.

  2. Job Description:

    • Develop and maintain repository of best practices, case studies, videos and photos and process related audio visuals for specific business functions.
    • To systematically maintain all the relevant project documents & records.

    • Overall responsibility and General administration of the field office.

About WeAct

WeAct (Women Entrepreneurs Access Connect Transform) is a national level Body & initiative by Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII), supported by Accenture Pvt. Ltd, to provide structured hand-holding support to rural micro entrepreneurs, making their business profitable and sustainable. The Project is expected to cater to 40,000 micro-entrepreneurs up-to 2025. The Administrative expenses for WeAct will be financially supported up to 2022 and it is expected to be self-sustainable later on. WeAct’s Vision is to accelerating transformation in deprived, excluded and vulnerable communities through women entrepreneurs.

Job Description
The core purpose of this role is to provide leadership and direction for WeAct. We are looking for an experienced professional who will work closely with WeAct Advisory and Steering Committee and oversee all operations, functions and activities. Candidate will be the face of the organization, responsible for giving the proper strategic direction and implementing a high quality vision. The position will be on contract with a monthly salary as per the prevailing standards and experience of the candidate.

Qualification and Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Social Sciences/ Rural Management/ Social Work/ Economics/MBA with interest in working with rural women.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Identify and enrol local NGOs [follow EDII norms] with whom community outreach & mobilization and, all workshops and training programmes can be carried out
  • Build network of all stakeholders in the Project
  • Engage and ensure capacity building activities of key stakeholders [Weavers/Artisans/Master weavers/Community Mobilisers]
  • Devise training programmes (120 programmes per year i.e. 10 per month) each of 1-6 days duration based on cluster need on crédit management, market linkages, digital platform, business development, enterprise development, soft skill learning and exposure visits
  • Work in tandem with all stake holders and be responsible for setting up of Common Facility Centre with the assistance of State or Central Government

  • Ensure 25% increase in patronage and at least 10% increase in sales through social media marketing
  • Establishment of at least 1 CFC in Cluster (3 years) leveraging government funds (INR 1-2 CR per CFC); set up of 30 new enterprises in Cluster; and 20% increase in the number of people employed locally
  • Ensure 15% increased productivity per year, increase in gender inclusion by 10% per year in Cluster, and 15% increased income per year
  • Coordinate state, national and international exhibitions, and fairs for promotion of Cluster Handloom Products
  • Creating standardizing systems and processes customized to each stakeholder group (NGOs, artisans, traders, manufacturers and weavers) to ensure sustainability

RFP: Engagement of Bamboo Handicrafts (Treatment/Assembling) Related Technology Service provider / Consultant

 

  1. About the Project:
    Under the aegis of national Mission on Himalayan Studies (Implemented by the Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change), Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII), Gandhinagar is implementing a project named – “Implementing Bamboo-based Entrepreneurship & Livelihood Development Programme in Tripura”, which is a socio-economic experiment based Action Research Project, during the period 2018-19 & 2019-2020. The geographical location for this pilot-mode implementation is undivided West Tripura District (Now, West Tripura, Khowai & Sepahijala Districts).
  2. Objectives:
    EDII invites Request for Proposal (RFP) from agencies or individual consultants having expertise specific to bamboo treatment processes and bamboo joining/assembling/assembling technology. The main objective of this assignment is to introduce advanced processes related to treatment of bamboo to extend the shelf life of products and to make the products robust and user friendly by introducing advanced bamboo joining/assembling techniques in the project target location of undivided West district of Tripura.
  3. Key Deliverables:
    1. Field visit in project area in undivided West Tripura district to interact with the artisans and micro enterprises to understand their skill level and the problems related to treatment process and joining/assembling techniques.
    2. To understand the existing nature of treatment process and study the existing products and preparation of pamphlet of treatment process and joining/assembling techniques.  
    3. Prototype development of modified marketable products based on existing designs while keeping in mind the nature of craft practised and available bamboo species in the project target location of undivided West district of Tripura.
    4. To provide handholding support to the artisans/micro enterprises during 2 nos. workshops for development of prototypes.
  4. Eligibility Criteria:
    1. The consultant or at least one of the employee of the consulting firm should be empaneled Designer with DC (Handicrafts).
    2. The consultant should have relevant educational qualification (preferably Bachelor/Master in Design/Technology) from recognised institute/ related certificate of the subject concern.
    3. The agency or consultant should have more than 5 years’ experience of similar assignments.
    4. Testimonials and reports might be solicited to verify the same. Complete confidentiality must be maintained for the same.
  5. Time Frame:
    Total duration of engagement will be tentatively for 15 working days or till the work is completed satisfactorily.

The Terms and Conditions may be suitably modified depending on the ground level requirements without bias and decisions will be EDII’s only.
