Job Description

  • Coordinate with Project Director, Master Trainers, Subject Matter Experts and Community Mobilizers for implementation of the project
  • Plan and conduct market analysis study and surveys to identify potential urban habitats
  • Draft necessary strategic documents concerning project design, planning and implementation, such as results frameworks, work plans, key milestones/targets program budget, etc.
  • Undertake day to day management of the project, including smooth project implementation, efficient use of resources
  • Understanding appropriate business ideas and technology solutions
  • Organizing workshops and training programmes for Entrepreneurship Development.
  • Ensure the timelines and quality of the outputs as well as timely preparation of reports on achievements and challenges faced within the project.

  • Coordinating Skill Development activities- Production Technology and entrepreneurial value chain

Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII)  the pioneer in Entrepreneurship for several decades has promoted entrepreneurship in urban, rural, peri-urban in and outside India. Entrepreneurs are not born, they can be made has been proved with micro/nano enterprises established in different parts of India.  Having brought these persons into the World of Entrepreneurship, EDII has felt the need to provide a platform for the networking of Women Entrepreneurs who have established micro-enterprises.

With the scale of operation being micro, this section of Women Entrepreneurs does not find a place in the existing various bodies with urban and educated women. Here, activities planned and focus given is limited to urban areas.  The need to establish a body that can address the needs of rural micro-entrepreneurs so that they can be in the mainstream of development and receive all benefits as people in urban areas. EDII invites applications for the post of Research Associate.
  1. Academic Qualification & Experience
    • BE/MBA/Master’s Degree with 3-5 years of experience and expertise in entrepreneurship/ self-employment/ skill development/ management training can apply for the position of Research Associates.
    • Incumbent must be willing to travel within and outside state.  Should possess excellent communication skills and be well versed in English, Gujarati & Hindi. Computer skills essential.  
  2. Job Description:
    • Help manage project activities and schedules
    • Help review, edit, and adapt project/research materials, as directed
    • Write drafts of project report/research papers
    • Provide varied administrative assistance
    • Assist with tasks assigned by RO as needed
    • Strong writing skills
    • Knowledge of research methods 
    • Highly organized and efficient with ability to deliver tasks quickly and of high
    • quality
    • Strong initiative: self-starter with good follow through
    • Ability to multitask in a new environment
    • Resourceful, willing to learn on the job
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Office
  3. Type of Employment: Necessarily Contractual.
