  1. MASTER TRAINER

    Location: Bengaluru

    Qualification & Experience:

    Job Description

    • Coordinate with Project Director, Project Coordinator, Subject Matter Experts and Community Mobilizers for implementation of the project
    • Mobilizing, selecting and empowering potential women SHGs, Cluster in project locations
    • Design, plan and upgrade entrepreneurship and enterprise development training materials including, but not limited to, Training curriculum, Training Manual and training handouts as per selected Trades/Sectors.
    • Deliver entrepreneurship training by following the Training Schedule with quality standard as per EDII norms.
    • Assist and mentor beneficiaries in areas including development of business plans, concepts of Business opportunities /Financial transactions /Formalities and procedures for scaling operations, new technology and Digital financial transactions.
    • Engage trainees actively in training through multiple innovative training methodologies to maximize training outputs. 
    • Identify business opportunities in target area and provide beneficiaries with guidance on the choice of start-up businesses as per the project plan.
    • Conduct Skill Development activities- Production Technology and entrepreneurial value chain
    • Facilitate Business Plan Formulation, funding and infra set-up for enterprises
    • Assisting in market linkages and credit linkages.
    • Post programme follow up and hand holding of entrepreneurs through trainings and mentoring
    • Identify and ensuring entrepreneurs participation in relevant Fairs and exhibition
    • Participate in all meetings held for review of the progress by EDII H.O/South Regional Office, Bangalore.

  2. SUBJECT MATTER EXPERT

    Content & Curriculum Development Expert:

    Job Description:

    • Design, plan and upgrade entrepreneurship and enterprise development training materials (Telugu, Tamil and Kannada) including, but not limited to, Training curriculum, Training Manual and training handouts as per selected Trades/Sectors.
    • Work with the team to map value chain including main actors, flow of products, infrastructure facilities, financial institutions and all supporting organizations.
    • Knowing the right business strategies and technological solutions
    • Establish a methodology/framework for measuring the effectiveness of the training, including methods for skills assessment and any recommendations to improve the programme outcome.

    General Working Profile:

    • Coordinate with Project Coordinator, Master Trainer and Community Mobilizers for implementation of the project
    • Be responsible for the technical inputs for the beneficiaries through trainings, workshops, seminars and visits
    • Assisting in enterprise development, business development, market linkages and credit linkages.

    • Prepare detail work plans and progress reports

      Job Description:

      • Stakeholder-wise need assessment to map all stakeholders and assess respective and continuously changing needs.

EDII invites applications for the post of Mentor under SVEP Project

Location: Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra and Chhattisgarh.

Project Background: The Start-up Village Entrepreneurship Programme (SVEP) is being implemented as a sub-scheme under National Rural Livelihood Mission (NRLM), Ministry of Rural Development (MoRD) to promote start-up enterprise in rural areas.  Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII) has been selected as a National Resource Organization (NRO) for the Programme.  Under the aegis of Ministry of Rural Development, the Institute has initiated the programme in 65 blocks across 14 states: Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Jammu & Kashmir, West Bengal, Odisha, Jharkhand, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh, Assam, Uttarakhand, Maharashtra, Punjab and Chhattisgarh in association with respective State Rural Livelihood Mission (SRLM).

  1. Qualification & Experience:
    • Relevant University qualification in a Management discipline (Business Administration/Rural Development or equivalent) with at least two (02) years of professional working experience.  
    • Graduate in any stream with at least five (05 years) of professional working experience in the area of microenterprise promotion/working with communities.
    • Recent pass outs from premier Institutes (IRMA, TISS, EDII, NIRD, XIMB etc.) with Post Graduate qualifications may also be considered for the position as Young Professionals
    • The candidate must have experience in micro enterprise promotion or working with community institutions. Experience of promoting collectives/producer companies is an added advantage.
    • The candidate should possess good documentation and reporting skills, computer literacy and good communication ability.
  2. Job Description: 

    The key responsibilities for implementing the SVEP project in the assigned block include:
    • Assist PIA and SRLM during selection and training of Community Resources Persons  - Enterprise Promotion (CRP-EPs)
    • Guide and support CRP-EP during the training programme, on-field activities and enterprise promotion.
    • Develop and maintain repository of best practices, case studies, videos and photos and process related audio visuals for specific business functions.
    • To systematically maintain all the relevant project documents & records.
    • Maintain administrative and accounting documents and its timely submission.
    • Report regularly on the status of the assigned initiatives to the Head and Project Directors.
    • Overall responsibility and General administration of the field office.

RFP: Engagement of Bamboo Handicrafts (Treatment/Assembling) Related Technology Service provider / Consultant

  1. About the Project:
    Under the aegis of national Mission on Himalayan Studies (Implemented by the Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change), Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII), Gandhinagar is implementing a project named – “Implementing Bamboo-based Entrepreneurship & Livelihood Development Programme in Tripura”, which is a socio-economic experiment based Action Research Project, during the period 2018-19 & 2019-2020. The geographical location for this pilot-mode implementation is undivided West Tripura District (Now, West Tripura, Khowai & Sepahijala Districts).
  2. Objectives:
    EDII invites Request for Proposal (RFP) from agencies or individual consultants having expertise specific to bamboo treatment processes and bamboo joining/assembling/assembling technology. The main objective of this assignment is to introduce advanced processes related to treatment of bamboo to extend the shelf life of products and to make the products robust and user friendly by introducing advanced bamboo joining/assembling techniques in the project target location of undivided West district of Tripura.
  3. Key Deliverables:
    1. Field visit in project area in undivided West Tripura district to interact with the artisans and micro enterprises to understand their skill level and the problems related to treatment process and joining/assembling techniques.
    2. To understand the existing nature of treatment process and study the existing products and preparation of pamphlet of treatment process and joining/assembling techniques.  
    3. Prototype development of modified marketable products based on existing designs while keeping in mind the nature of craft practised and available bamboo species in the project target location of undivided West district of Tripura.
    4. To provide handholding support to the artisans/micro enterprises during 2 nos. workshops for development of prototypes.
  4. Eligibility Criteria:
    1. The consultant or at least one of the employee of the consulting firm should be empaneled Designer with DC (Handicrafts).
    2. The consultant should have relevant educational qualification (preferably Bachelor/Master in Design/Technology) from recognised institute/ related certificate of the subject concern.
    3. The agency or consultant should have more than 5 years’ experience of similar assignments.
    4. Testimonials and reports might be solicited to verify the same. Complete confidentiality must be maintained for the same.
  5. Time Frame:
    Total duration of engagement will be tentatively for 15 working days or till the work is completed satisfactorily.

The Terms and Conditions may be suitably modified depending on the ground level requirements without bias and decisions will be EDII’s only.
