A former IAS Officer, Mr. Krishna, has held a wide spectrum of positions with the Govt. of Madhya Pradesh & Govt, of India, over his illustrious career spanning 34 years. A ‘Doer and Change Maker’, as Managing Director of TRIFED, he engineered the turnaround of TRIFED as a major promoter of micro local enterprises, owned wholly by the tribal self-help groups. He conceptualized and set up over 50,000 Vandhan SHGs subsumed into 3000 Vandhan clusters, onboarding more than 9.83 Lakh forest dwelling tribals for value addition and marketing of NTFP and agro forestry related products. The initiative has led to the modelling Pradhan Mantri Janjatiya Vikas Program under the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India. He has authored two Books, ‘Price Behaviour In A Planned Economy’ and ‘Tryst With The Tribes: Tales from Tribal Heartlands’.
