‘Handmade in India’ is a 3-year project focused at evolving an entrepreneurial ecosystem around 6 selected handloom clusters spread across five states – Assam, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha & Tamil Nadu(Salem, Surendranagar, Bargarh, Bhuj, Kamrup, Maheshwar handloom clusters in India). Sponsored by HSBC, the project is anchored by EDII in consultation with Ernst & Young (Knowledge partner). A variety of interventions are being made to help nearly 3000 handloom sector entrepreneurs to achieve sustainable growth and overall social development.
