Dr. Sanjay Kumar Mangla possesses 13 years of expertise in academia and policy research  in economics, international trade and public policy.

Prior to joining EDII, he was Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Economics at the Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Management Studies, Delhi. He was also an Economist with the Confederation of Indian Textile Industry in Delhi. He has more than eight years of experience in teaching economics, international trade and quantitative methods.

 M.A Gold Medalist, Dr. Mangla holds M.Phil degrees in economics from MD University, Rohtak and Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra. He has also qualified for the UGC-NET examination in economics.

Dr. Mangla has completed eight sponsored projects on e-commerce, investment, trade, and other topics. He has a long history of working with country/industry and firm-level data. In addition, he is well-versed in statistical and econometric software packages like as SPSS, Eviews, and STATA. He is also familiar with national and international databases on economic and trade indicators such as CMIE, CEIC, WITS, ASI, ITC, IMF, UNCTADStat, and others.

He has over 50 research papers/opinion articles published and presented in prestigious journals/conferences.
