20th Summer Camp on Entrepreneurial Adventures for Youth
in the age group of 16- 22 years
(09- 18 May, 2011)
Focussing on the development of youth means heralding progress, prosperity and sustenance for a nation. India sure is focussing on their grooming. Be it business or politics, the youth of the country are orchestrating change to create a more responsive over all set up. They, however, need to sport some unique traits to engineer such a world – 'they need to beam with life skills; must possess an attitude to accept their weaknesses and the grit to turn these into strengths; they must excel in creative thinking, decision making and problem solving.
Such a strong personality can be cultivated. Exposure to challenging platforms that expose youths to varied perspectives and situations in life prepares them to showcase their most versatile abilities.
Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India imparts such unique exposure to youth through its National Summer Camp on Entrepreneurial Adventures for Youth. The camps have, over last 19 years, shaped around 714 youths from across the country. This year the camp, 20th in the series, has been scheduled during May 09 – 18, 2011.
Main Objective:
The youth realize their hidden potential and develop their capabilities to meet the challenges ahead by acquiring entrepreneurial traits of risk taking, creative thinking, conflict management, effective communication, teamwork and managing one's emotions.
Activities:
- Entrepreneurial motivation, development games and exercises to foster traits such as creativity, concern for excellence, leadership, problem solving, independence, goal – setting, etc.
- Formal and informal interaction with successful achievers and entrepreneurs.
- Evaluation and development of entrepreneurial traits and competencies.
- Visits to institutions of repute to analyse the process of creation and development.
- Self-assessment through specifically designed psychological tests, instruments and learning through recording presentation on self (Camera Presentation).
- Career and psychological counselling.
Venue And Accommodation:
The camp will be organized at the Institute's lush green and international award-winning campus at Ahmedabad. A comfortable AC accommodation on twin-sharing basis will be provided to the participants.
Fee:
16,000/- (plus 10.30% Service Tax), which will include tuition fee, course material and board & lodging at the campus. It does not include any travel cost, out-of-pocket expenses and medical insurance.

The application form should be accompanied by two passport size photographs and a Pay Order / Demand Draft of ` 17,648/- (Including Service Tax) drawn in favour of EDI, Ahmedabad, payable at Ahmedabad.
Organisations willing to nominate wards of their executives for the camp are requested to send such nominations at their earliest.
