The nature of opportunities for PGDMN graduates is seen in a range that extends from service delivery to community development, to organizing communities for change and organizing training programme for capacity building for local groups, government officials or for other specialized groups. They are today involved in providing policy inputs at various levels of decision-making within government agencies, advocacy work for the disadvantaged sections of the society and documentation of development activities. The course trains students for development work in areas such as; natural resource management, gender issues, human rights and justice, education, health, disaster management etc. Students from the past nine batches are involved with agencies working at the grassroots to that of national and international organizations/agencies.
The campus placements have witnessed ever increasing and encouraging responses from NGOs. Our students are working with NGOs spread across the entire country. The NGOs who have recruited our students include: AKRSP (I), Basix, Blind People’s Association, CERC, CMF, Deepak Foundation, Development Support Centre, Grameen Koota, ICMH, IDEI, IIRD, Kutch Mahila Vikas Sangathan, SAATH, Selco India, SEWA, WASMO and many others. Students joining these organizations have found offers at the middle management level and many of them have grown within the organization/sector in due course of time. A few of the NGO Management students are also serving in international territories on humanitarian projects.
